Tattoo Artists

  • Gianpiero Cavaliere

    @struggle4pleasure

    FOUNDER & TATTOO RESIDENT

    My name is Gianpiero and I was born on September 17th 1988 in Bra, little town in Piedmont the region of wine hills truffle and slow food.
    My interest in this profession comes from my hunger for new ways to express art and its forms. I worked in 3 different shops and this is the first I can call “my own”. Greyscale comes from the glue that sticks together all my works, which are colourful but always with some shade of grey. My style mixes mythology, anatomy, and surrealistic images to create an emotion to the client and I.

  • Serena Caponera

    @serenacaponera

    FOUNDER & TATTOO RESIDENT

    My name is Serena and I was born on April 15th 1987 in Frosinone, a small industrial town near Rome.
    My interest and love for the tattoo profession has always been visceral. I opened my first shop in 2014: the “scrimshaw tattoo”, in my birth town, named after my love for whales and my favourite book “Moby dick”.
    My style comes from my interpretation of an idea, the vision of client’s concepts that turns into images directly from my brain cells and my artistic background.

  • Simona Cordero

    @corderosimona

    TATTOO RESIDENT

    My name is Simona, and I was born on June 1st 1985 here in Turin.
    I started my path working as an illustrator of children’s books for many years, and then I came through tattoos.
    I love drawing animals or kinda-animals characters, dipped in ’80 and ’90 yrs taste with pastel pinky accessories or bounded in shibari and kinky elements.
    I even like nerd themes from pop and geek culture.
    My designs are creepy and cute at the same time.
    I funny named this style Pastel Neotrash.

  • Sacronero

    @sacronero

    TATTOO RESIDENT

    My name is Marco, and I was born on February 7th 1983, in Frascati, a small town on the Roman hills.
    I first trained as a tattoo artist in a local shop that belonged to my best friend, who then also became my master.
    I was always passionate about drawing. I love old engravings and botanical and anatomical illustrations.
    I love to transform them in simple and impactful tattoos. They remind me of the shells and flowers that we would see hanging on the walls, during our first years of school, when we were discovering the alphabet for the first time.

  • Lilith

    @imjustlilith

    TATTOO RESIDENT

    My name is Lilith and I was born on October 27th 1998 next to Torino.
    I started getting closer to this world during my Artistic high school, I was so fascinated by the idea of something “painful” could transform in something so beautiful.
    Later on it transformed and became a research of love, empathy and kindness on skin. For sure still under development and growing, like myself and my style.
    I am unconditionally inspired by anime, manga, and video games world in a more simple/fresh way.

  • Yana

    @svk.tattoo

    TATTOO RESIDENT

    My name is Yana, I was born on January 8th, 1999, in Perm', a faraway city in the Siberia region of Russia. I started my artistic path in automotive design but later found myself deeply in love with tattoo culture and atmosphere. I find an infinite inspiration in classical literature of different cultures, I love transferring the essence of an idea into drawing and tattoos using figurative, imaginative & surrealistic forms.
    Tattoos for me are a gentle timeless touch of a moment, memory, its owner, and an artist.

  • Alex Irene

    @alexirenes

    TATTOO RESIDENT

    My name is Alex Irene and I was born in Lanzo Torinese on 4/10/1990.
    My tattoo style is constantly evolving: it is based on lines and symbols with ancient references, leading to a modern-futuristic vision. This starts from the so-called tribal, now transformed into the guise of new tribal.

Tattoo’s Gallery

The greyscale

An idea born in 2021 by Gianpiero Cavaliere and Serena Caponera, a multifunctional space that wants to be anything but the usual tattoo studio.

The project is to create a group of artists with an international spirit who never like to take themselves for granted, a place where art and craftsmanship converge, visionary - yes - but with respect for the tradition of a world that must be preserved but above all respected.

Do you ink or do you want to learn how to ink?

Do you want to be part of greyscale history?

FAQs

  • Once you’ve selected the tattoo artist(s), you can send a detailed email describing the type of design, drawing references, or any information that will help identify the theme. You can also describe your preferred dates and times. This helps our studio to prepare a quote more quickly and efficiently. If you wish, use our tattoo booking form.

  • You must be at least 18 years old, according to Italian law.

    Minors under 18 can also be tattooed - but not under 16 - for which the law requires written consent from both parents (if applicable) or a legal tutor.
Important: in the case of minors under 18, the parent or legal tutor must be present on the day of tattooing. Minors under 16 cannot get tattoos.

  • It depends on a few factors, but all tattoos start at 100 euros.
    The price varies according to the size and complexity of the tattoo, the details that the tattoo requires, and also the part of the body chosen. Each artist has their own minimum tattoo price, which varies.

  • Yes, but not everything is just pain. During tattooing, your body releases endorphins. And hey, your body loves endorphins :D
    So take advantage of the time you are getting a tattoo and let your body release some happy agents that will work against pain.

  • It usually takes two to three weeks to “heal”. Full recovery of the skin can take two months or more.

  • Every studio has its own care recommendations. You will receive instructions after your tattoo.

  • We accept cash or credit /debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and other). No checks.

  • Yes. A 30% deposit is required to make an appointment. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable and will be applied to the final price of your tattoo.

    Example: With a 30% deposit, the final amount to be paid will be the other 70%.

  • The best way is always to consult with our studio. You can do this for free by using our email appointment link, our form or simply by coming to our studio in person.

    Tattoo artists analyze all the possible variations that influence the final price of the tattoo, so it is important to provide as much information as possible when making the quotation.

  • The term "walk-in" does not require an appointment. But it is significant to stay tuned to the event dates on our website and social networks, so you can choose your favorite artist, time, and date in advance. We will do our best to help you schedule a time.

  • Greyscale follows all safety and hygiene measures determined by the Italian authorities, namely the ISS (Istituto Superiore di Sanità).

    These rules include: Minimum distance space between tattoo stations, regular and daily hygienic cleaning including every tattoo session space. Also use of non-reusable, disposable equipment and hand hygiene products for clients and artists in the studio.

    All clients must sanitize their hands and keep their mask fully covering their nose and mouth during the entire tattoo session in the studio.

    We inform you that in case of suspicion of COVID-19 symptoms, please notify the studio staff in advance by email. We advise you to move the date of your tattoo in this case.

  • We recommend you eat well before you go in, and remember to stay hydrated. If you start to feel dizzy, have a soft drink or a juice. In this situation, sugar is your best friend. Turin in the summer is very hot, and coming in without drinking water and then coming in tattooed on an empty stomach is a sure recipe for passing out.

    It's best not to party the night before because alcohol can increase bleeding for up to 24 hours. Blood also dilutes our pigments, affecting both the look of your tattoo and the healing process. Remember to remain calm, you are in good hands.

    In the end it's just a tattoo, so relax, enjoy your time with us and don't freak out.
